Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the islet of Mont Saint-Michel is a jewel nestled in the embrace of a stunningly lovely bay. The Normandy Landings, June 6th, 1944, form a significant part of the history of the 20th century. From the Ermitage, you can reach the D-Day sites about a hundred kilometres away. Names such as Utah Beach and Omaha Beach evoke a multitude of emotions and poignant associations. You can also tour the various museums dedicated to the event, such as those of Arromanches and the Memorial of Caen, and reflect on the sacrifices made by the Greatest Generation when you visit the region’s impressive military cemeteries, including that of Colleville-sur-Mer.
From Cap Fréhel to the Pointe du Grouin, the Emerald Coast is an invitation to take amazing walks. Its rugged pink granite coast is washed by waters that gleam emerald in the slightest ray of sunshine. The many islets add to the picturesque panorama. In addition, the rich heritage and beauty of Saint-Malo and Cancale make these ports a must-see.

That of the privateer city defending access to Mont Saint-Michel on the one hand and, on the other, that of the Monaco of the North, a convivial seaside resort of casinos and luxury hotels. The villa of the world-famous fashion designer Christian Dior has been transformed into a museum and can be visited throughout the year. Its garden offers a breathtaking view of the English Channel and the Bay of Mont Saint-Michel. The various creations of the famous couturier are beautifully exhibited.
Cancale and Normandy oysters are famed worldwide, being fleshy, iodine-rich and full of flavour. On our menu we have chosen to feature those from Maison Cahue in Saint Méloir des Ondes, near Cancale.
